Hand-Crafted Chairs and Rocking Chairs Five generations of Newberrys have made chairs and rocking chairs on their farm outside Red Boiling Springs. Most of the furniture is made out of oak, but other woods such as walnut and cherry are available. They use machine-turned finished woods for most dining room chairs, high chairs, baby chairs and rockers. "Rough" wood can also be used for any piece of furniture. Each piece is custom-made for you and shipped to your home. Some of the furniture they make on a regular basis includes: Dining Room Chairs The chair bottoms are weaved with hickory bark. The Newberrys also sell rolls of hickory bark, elm bark and poplar bark for use in home caning projects.
